The inspiration behind Samantha and Henry’s beachside wedding was minimalist and contemporary, they wanted the details to be minimal with the WOW factor.
How they met
Sam: “We met in 2007 when Henry was a jackaroo in Nyngan and I was on a teaching prac. Although Henry remembers, I don’t! Our paths crossed again in 2013 when I had travelled to Moree from Tamworth to have my hair done by my good friend Brooke. We went to the golf club for a quick drink afterwards and a mutual friends introduced us. My planned 12 hour trip to Moree turned into a weekend of water skiing and BBQs. The rest is history.”
The ceremony
Sam: “We have two children so wanted it to be about them as much as it was about us. Jay officiated our ceremony and he was brilliant. He brought the children in at every opportunity. A unique touch was him standing amongst the guests during the ceremony. We felt it was all about us! Time could have stood still.”

The reception
Sam: “Locale provided the perfect back drop for our contemporary style wedding. The venue has its own ambiance and we didn’t want to mess with it too much. We kept the flowers low laying but with incredible colour and unique arrangements. Black candlesticks adorned all the tables and each place card had a burgundy tassel. We loved that our guests could choose what they ate from the menu. Every dish was incredibly delicious and matched perfectly with quality wines.”
Something unique
Sam: “Henry and I saw each other before our ceremony. We had first reveal photos in the Noosa woods and then went and had family drinks and photos before the ceremony. It was perfect! We had all of the official photos out of the way and then could spend every minute with our guests. Henry and I also got to have our special 1:1 moment in private with just the two of us (and our photographer!!!) which was really memorable. My great friend from school, Jess Andreatta, created my dress as well and that was incredibly special.”
The honeymoon
Sam: “We are flying to Singapore without our children for two nights, and then spending 5 nights at Bawah Reserve. Bawah is an eco friendly island resort that is in Indonesian waters between Malaysia and Borneo.”
“The whole day was perfect. My dress, the people, music, food, wine, everything! Although, the spaghettini at Locale was up there!”
