Hayley and Brendan’s wedding at AnnaBella the Wedding Chapel and Yandina Station.
It was a country Boho inspired lavish affair for the wedding of high school sweet hearts Hayley and Brendan and what a beautiful gathering they put together! Married at the ever so quaint Annabella the Wedding Chapel with a fabulous reception following at Yandina Station, these two knew exactly how they wanted their special day to reflect them as a couple – a collaboration of rustic glam and bohemian touches and lots of creative DIY stylings!
Hayley, Brendan and their families have a strong connection to the country side and it was important to them to pay tribute to their background, natural timbers and raw materials created the styling foundations of their gorgeous wedding day. Splash Events teamed up with Hayley and Brendan and introduced lovely country décor touches.
“My dad and I did a lot of DIY decorating – the seating plan, wishing well, menu sign, table numbers etc. We would design the items together-he would make it out of timber and metal and then I would decorate it with text. It was very special that we could do that together. I also screen-printed all our stationery, which was a lot of work, but again, a very special addition to the day.”
Flowers took centre stage and played their part with the amazing floral touches and features from Ginger Lily and Rose. A warm colour palette of burnt oranges, ambers, apricots, rich burgundies were accompanied by refreshing pops of ivories, greens and small touches of antique mauves – A perfect nod to the country, boho stylings! Hayley’s Bridal Bouquets showcased stunning dahlia’s, David Austin roses, queen Anne’s lace with natural rustic foliages, hints of berries and pretty flowering fillers. These precious blooms were showcased throughout the chapel ceremony and wedding reception with an exquisite floral structure that hung high above the bridal table at their wedding reception with cascades of twinkling fairy lights.
When asked what her favourite memory from their wedding day was, the beautiful bride simply explained “The whole day was very special, so it’s hard to choose! But I will never forget the look on Brendan’s face as I walked down the aisle.” And what a divine site she was, turning heads as she journeyed down the aisle in her white laced bridal gown by Grace Loves Lace.
It was nuptial bliss with a day filled full of love, happiness, sunshine with landscaped views. The pair, now newlyweds, ventured on a honey moon road trip around Tasmania chasing more of that country magic!
Warmest wishes, and all the very best Hayley and Brendan!

Mandy and David’s celebrations started in a charming country chapel at Ilkley, their wedding day love story began with an elegant church ceremony, Annabella’s Chapel is set amongst a woodlands rural property on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and provided a sophisticated space for the couple to say ‘I Do’. The Sunshine Coast boasts so many beautiful locations and presents me with many opportunities to capture the diversity of the landscape, Mandy and David’s wedding day imagery started with beautiful country landscape, with a touch of tradition, and the property surrounding the lovely chapel had plenty of pretty spots for these two lovebirds to cosy up!
I loved the sophisticated styling of the day, and the white and ivory colour palette featured in the flowers and softness of the pink in the dresses, the beautiful neutral inspired wedding concept was accented perfectly with lush green accents and the stunning Phalaenopsis orchids featured in the beautiful bouquets and altar floral feature created by Mondo Floral Designs provided that divine modern touch.
Mandy and David chose to celebrate their reception with family and friends at Sails Restaurant Noosa, and a coastal reception provided a wonderful finish to their gorgeous day. As you can see the variety of the landscape from the hinterland, and then to the sand shores of Noosa beach, gave plenty of opportunities for me to capture the emotion and diversity of this gorgeous day. Sails restaurant was beautifully styled with clusters of candles and chair décor by Splash Events and with Mondo Floral Designs continuing the modern floral stying with contemporary glass vases of blooms and a stunning hanging installation that suspended from the bridal table, the breathtaking Noosa restaurant was styled to perfection, and the beach setting just before sunset added that touch of romance to the images at the end of the day.
Sails is one of my favourite places to eat on the Sunshine Coast, and when serving up their wedding menu they certainly never disappoint, and as you can see from the images below, every detail from food to floral was executed to perfection, with these two making the most of their gorgeous Sunshine Coast wedding day!
Congratulations Mandy and David.
